WeatherPro®-L

DESCRIPTION

INFO TEST

WeatherPro®-L is a heavy duty autoclaved fibre cement reinforced calcium silicate board (alias named as fibre cement board). It is an ecofriendly building board endorsed by third party accreditation bodies for green building label. It does not contain any harmful substances or inorganic fibres and is free from formaldehyde and toxic emissions.

The board has high levels of durable performance in the presence of wet and severe weather. WeatherPro®-L is intentionally designed for applications where impact resistance is required in high humid environment. It offers strong technical specification, having CE marked in compliance with durability and aging tests EN 12467: Category A sheet which is for applications where may be subjected to heat, moisture and severe frost weathering conditions. In addition, it also meets the standard of Australia AS/NZS 2908.2 and America ASTM C 1185 for external fibre cement products.

WeatherPro®-L is non-combustible in terms of Reaction to Fire EN 13501-1 Euro Class A1 and BS 476: Part 4, as well as approval in Australia and Japan. Economical and versatile functions make WeatherPro®-L as a real substitute of marine plywood, cement-bonded particle board, gypsum board or magnesium oxide board. It is light-weight, robust and water resistant. It will not warp, swell or decay in wet area. WeatherPro®-L is an excellent substrate for ceramic tiles at wet areas. It can be applied in direct weathering applications when used in conjunction with external grade paint finishes. WeatherPro®-L is produced from a mixture of cement, ground sand, special cellulose fibres and selected fillers to impart durability, toughness, and water resistance. The board is then cured by autoclaving process whereby the ingredients are transformed to crystalline structure under the effects of super-heated steam and high pressure. The synthetic cement silicate binder provides exceptional dimensional stability and an unrivalled resistance to movement due to effects of moisture or heat. The board will not rot or support fungal growth and is unaffected by sunlight and steam.

WeatherPro®-L will not degrade with time and within normal applications, the life of the product is limited only by the durability of the supporting structure and materials used in fastening. The board does not contain any soluble ingredients or free alkali which could be dissolved by moisture or condensation and causing unsightly marks or effiorescence. If exposed to moisture, the board will completely recover on drying out, with no permanent loss of strength. Any staining on the board caused by leakage can be easily painted over. WeatherPro®-L is natural off white in colour and has a smooth finish on one side and a slightly textured reverse. No rendering cement mortar is needed to receiving decorative finishes.

WeatherPro®-L is manufactured to Quality Management System Certification ISO 9001, Environmental Management System Certification ISO 14001Hong Kong Green Label as well as Singapore Green Label.

Properties

APPLICATION

WeatherPro®-L is a versatile fibre reinforced cement building board for both internal & external use. It has very high levels of durable performance in the presence of wet and severe weather. The fibre cement reinforced calcium silicate matrix allows WeatherPro®-L with good flexurall strength and resistance to impact. It is easy to curve, cut and fix. Typical applications include:

  • Acoustic, water and impact resistant partitions

  • Aesthetic curved constructions

  • Backing board for metal claddings

  • Backing board for marble/ceramic tiles

  • Backing board for furniture/vanity top at wet areas

  • Casings for building services

  • Composite wall panels

  • Decking and flooring applications at balconies, verandahs and pool surrounds

  • External parapet linings, wall planking claddings and facades

  • Green roof sheathing board

  • Smoke vent covers and access hatches

  • Sunscreens, eaves and roof sarking boards

  • Winding / weather resistant roofings and ceilings
